New Periphery Webisode Features Vocalist, Spencer Sotelo
The latest Periphery webisode arrives today, with singer Spencer Sotelo discussing work on the two forthcoming albums, Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega (Jan. 27, Sumerian Records): http://youtu.be/E7uRbtCUV6Q.
“In this webisode, you are going to take a walk with me on the wild side of the vocal booth,” said Sotelo. “It was a long and rigorous task to track the vocals on an 80 minute double album, but as you can see in this video, we still like to have fun in the studio no matter how far the overall sanity level is pushed. You’ll get a peek at me tracking vocals to songs that you will otherwise not hear until the records are released. Enjoy and get stoked because Juggernaut is right around the corner and will be released before you know it!”
A series of webisodes documenting the recording sessions for the Juggernaut releases have been shared with fans over the last few weeks, with previous episodes featuring Matt Halpern, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb. The clips can be found on Sumerian Records’ YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/sumerianrecords).
Revolver Magazine, in a cover story featuring Sotelo, said the band “stand at the vanguard of a new, and thoroughly modern, musical movement” and Rolling Stone proclaimed the new releases Periphery’s “most ambitious project yet.”
Digital and physical pre-orders for the pair of albums are available now with instant downloads of “22 Faces,” “The Scourge” and “The Bad Thing” available via iTunes (http://hyperurl.co/Juggernaut_Alpha and http://hyperurl.co/Juggernaut_Omega). Physical pre-order bundles, which include The JuggerDoc, a documentary on the making of the new albums, are available via http://sumerianmerch.com.
