‘The Conjuring’ Spinoff, ‘Annabelle’ is Happening, So is ‘The Conjuring 2’

Fans of James Wan no doubt remember, Annabelle, the creepy doll from The Conjuring. The real life doll was a much less terrifying Raggedy Ann, but I doubt that would make me feel better if I knew it was sitting on my couch all night.

Annabelle opens theatrically on October 3, 2014. The film stars Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard, Ward Horton, Eric Ladin and Brian Howe. The Conjuring cinematographer, John Leonetti, is working from a script by Gary Dauberman.

Real-life Ghostbusters, Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated a cursed object case with the bizarre doll at the crux of it all. The doll was removed from the original home and is stored in their collection of paranormal objects.

I mentioned The Conjuring 2 in the headline, and I’m happy to say the film is tentatively scheduled for release on October 23, 2015. Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes are working on the script.
