Brewed by Deschutes Brewery
Style: American Double/Imperial IPA
Serve at 45-48°
Enjoyed from a tulip glass
A: Pours a golden amber-orange with two fingers of fluffy white head. Nice retention leaves the glass with ample lacing.
S: Citrus, earthy, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, a little caramel in the back.
T: Citrus fruits dominate. Grapefruit rind, orange, lemon rind, pineapple sit atop the caramel notes that follow the hops. Bitter finish.
M: Medium to light-bodied. Perfect carbonation for the style.
O: This is a quality beer, unfortunately, it’s been done a million times and there are better offerings for a DIPA. All in all, a pretty good find for nine bucks. I would buy this again.
