“Don’t Look Back” the trailer commands. The quick edits show several of the characters in typical TWD scenarios; bloody, lopping heads off, all in a day’s work. The nervous anticipation is nearly over and fans will rejoice on Sunday, February 9th, when The Walking Dead returns on AMC.
Nine episodes in and I’m not sure where this season is headed. There’s a lot of trauma in the former prison group and all that impending violence spilled into the streets. The group is homeless at the moment; will Rick lead the survivors to a new home? Comic readers might be a little excited. If you don’t read the comic, I won’t spoil anything.
“Following the devastating events of the mid-season finale, Rick and the group are still reeling from the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the destruction of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else’s fate. What was a challenging life behind fences and walls grows that much more perilous and precious as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested — a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.“
