I know it seems like a stretch, but Bates Motel forced me to reconsider my horror series watching habits. I was sure the show would tank. Instead, Bates Motel ended up being a huge win for horror and television. On the heels of the motel the latest series based on a film, the four-hour NBC mini-series, Rosemary’s Baby. Zoe Saldana stars as the lead, opposite Suits star, Patrick J. Adams. While Roman Polanski’s 1967 film is the status quo for a perfect film, the series will have to work harder that normal to gain respect in the horror community. I’ll give it a shot.
Produced by Lionsgate TV, the show is scheduled to begin shooting in Pars very soon.
“The network’s version of the tale moves the action to Paris, where young wife/mother-to-be Rosemary (played by Zoe Saldana) and her husband Guy (Adams) move into an apartment with a dark history. As time passes, Rosemary becomes convinced that her husband and neighbors have dastardly designs on her unborn child.”
