ScareFest 6 Horror & Paranormal Convention Begins 9/13 in Lexington, KY!

Scarefest2013

What a great time to be a local! Lexington is famous for a lot of reasons: horses, bourbon, UK sports, and horror? Weird combo? Not really, Lexington has a diverse population and we can’t get enough horror. The ScareFest begins on Friday, September 13th and runs through Sunday, September 15th at The Lexington Center.

ScareFest is the gathering of all things horror and paranormal. You’ll find actors/actresses from your favorite horror movies and television shows, entertainers, bands, a bazillion tier one vendors, and even iconic vehicles from Stephen King’s Christine and Maximum Overdrive. This year, ScareFest is proud to have veteran actor from A Clockwork Orange, Mr. Malcolm McDowell. McDowell is popular with the horror crowd after most recently starring as the storied Dr. Sam Loomis in Rob Zombie’s Halloween I & II remakes. You’ll find several of the stars from HBO’s True Blood, The Walking Dead, Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, and even Jason Vorhees himself, the exuberant Kane Hodder. The comprehensive list is impressive and you can see if your favorites are appearing by clicking here. If you’re a fan of the paranormal and enjoy shows like Ghost Adventures, you can even have your picture taken with Zak Bagans’ hair! Click here for the amazing paranormal entertainer list.

Tickets are still available with no fear of selling out since the convention moved to Rupp Arena’s The Lexington Center, offering more than 66,000 square feet of room. Tickets are $60 for the three-day pass, and $25 for a specific day. Your best bet is to come all three days and not miss out on the seminars, pub crawls, haunted attractions, and bloodletting.

Need more info? Click here for links to the official site and all the details you’ll need to navigate this almost too good to be true convention.
