Enjoyed from a snifter
A: Pours a burnt-orange hue with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Great clarity and mild retention with spotty web lacing.
S: Fresh and bright hop presence. Pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, mango, and guava gives way to piney, caramel notes. The sweet malt notes are great, but I don’t get any coconut.
T: Very crisp and citrusy. Grapefruit, pine, resinous, grassy, spicy, and bitter, earthy hops on the front. Mid-palette provides a light malt and dominating ruby-red grapefruit presence, before finally mellowing to a bitter, oily bite. Very crisp and clean.
M: Medium bodied with a sticky sweetness that settles on your lips. Light carbonation turns to a smooth creaminess.
O: Stone have killed it lately and I have three or four Stone’s I’ve yet to try waiting patiently in the fridge. This is a unique and delicious IPA all its own, I wish I could taste the coconut, but all in all, this is a killer IPA.
