Horror PSA: Stephen King’s ‘Under the Dome’ Begins Monday, June 24 on CBS

Uh, CBS, really, CBS seemed like the best option here? ABC, NBC, all those great cable channels like AMC or even HBO, and this ends up on CBS. That alone makes me nervous. It stars some of my favorite actors from series like Lost and Breaking Bad, yet the CBS branding makes me pause. I could be way off, blinded by the channel 96% of all old people prefer. Hell, even my Dad’s weekly lineup is nothing by CBS and he’s just in his early 70s. I’m hoping the dark nature of this novel translates well on…CBS, and to television as well. Prove me wrong, guys….prove me wrong.

“UNDER THE DOME” is the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from, and if and when it will go away.

The 13-episode summer series will premiere June 24th on CBS. It stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Jeff Fahey, Jolene Purdy, Ned Bellamy, Natalie Zea, and Aisha Hinds.
