Enjoyed from a snifter

Blend two Dogfish Head favorites, add maple syrup and carbonate the mixture naturally. What do you get? 75 Minute IPA.

The carbon dioxide trapped during bottle conditioning gives 75 Minute IPA a soft and velvety mouthfeel. Dry-hopped with whole-leaf Cascades, this complex IPA has been known to inspire pilgrimages to our brewpub.

A: Pours a clear amber color with a nice stream of bubbles

S: Sweet fruits and floral hops are first in line. Grapefruit, orange rind, subtle lemon, mango, and even peach have a strong presence. A nice caramel-toffee note releases as the ale warms, but the maple is invisible thus far.

T: Citrus-heavy. Grapefruit, tangerine, apricot/peaches, and resinous hops claim the opening notes before the caramel toasty flavors come forward, The hint of maple is very subtle, but adds a sweet honey balance. Very bready and malty as it warms.

M: Medium-bodied, ample carbonation; leaves a crisp, bitter coating after each sip. Very creamy indeed.

O: As advertised, a great middle point between the 60 and 90 Minute offerings. The maple syrup bottle conditioning evens out this ale nicely. Hope to a couple more bottles while it’s on the shelves. DFH fans will want to try this.
