Most exorcism movies suck – proven fact. Every time I see a new trailer for said genre, I cringe a little. Thanks for nothing, The Devil Inside. Fret not, fiends, a healthy dose of Nell is on its way. The Last Exorcism took me by complete surprise in 2010, dolling out shocking twists and subdued (as much as possible) effects to create a clever horror flick worth talking about. I love a good horror surprise, but will March 1st will bring good news once again? Picking up where the first film left off, Ed Gass-Donnelly directs the newest Satanic trauma. I hope this addition skimps on the “blower jobs”. Gross.
“Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found alone and terrified in the woods. Back in the relative safety of civilization, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean herlast exorcism was just the beginning.”
