American Horror Story: Asylum Introduces Ten New Characters

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have TEN new photos and characters from the upcoming second season. October suddenly seems too far away.

American Horror Story: Asylum begins on Wednesday, October 17th on FX and revolves around Jessica Lange’s character, a nun working in an east cost asylum in 1964. James Cromwell steps in as Lange’s boss at the institution. Clea Duvall, Chris Zylka, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, Adam Levine, Mark Consuelos and noob, Lizzie Brochere head up this seasons’ new cast members. Back from season one, but cast in new roles are Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Zachary Quinto, and Lily Rabe.

Here’s the latest teaser as well.

James Cromwell as Dr. Arden Via EW “the not-so-good doctor is behind one of the season’s newest frights: the Raspers. The mutated humans lurk in the forest outside of the institution and are a product of Arden’s diabolical experiments on Briarcliff’s inmates. Arden may or may not be a Nazi.

Jessica Lange as Sister Jude.

Zachary Quinto as Dr. Thredson, “a psychiatrist whose forward-thinking ways conflict with Sister Jude’s management style.”

Very nice. Evan Peters as Kit, an inmate who claims his wife was abducted by aliens.

Lily Rabe as Sister Eunice.

Joseph Fiennes as Monsignor Timothy O’Hara. Or is he one of the Raimi Brothers?

Chloë Sevigny as nymphomaniac inmate Shelley.

Sarah Paulson as lesbian journalist Lana, who is committed to the asylum by her own girlfriend after she nearly exposes Briarcliff’s darkest secrets.

Jenna Dewan Tatum as Teresa, Adam Levine’s wife.

Adam Levine as Leo, a newlywed visiting modern-day Briarcliff with his wife.
