Dogfish Head Burton Baton Imperial IPA Beer Review

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com

Brewed by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery

$13.99/Four Pack

Style: American Double/Imperial IPA

10.00% ABV

Serve at 50-55 Degrees

Enjoyed from a tulip glass.

A: Deep orange-amber with two fingers of off-white head, lacing from top to bottom.

S: Citrus, not as pronounced as expected, very similar to their 90 Minute with the exception of the subtle vanilla and oak on the end. Boozy.

T: Caramel sweetness that quickly gives way to grapefruit and a hint of vanilla. Produces an earthy, floral finish as it warms.

M: Thick and creamy, medium-bodied. Between sips it literally made my mouth water.

O: A very good brew. DFH fans will notice the 90 Minute influence for sure. The oak adds a unique tone to this beer that compliments their already welcome family of IPA/DIPA offerings. Nice stuff.
