Founder’s Double Trouble Beer Review

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com

$9.99/Four Pack

Style: American Double/Imperial IPA

9.40% ABV

IBU: 86

Serve at 45-50 Degrees

Enjoyed from a snifter

A: Pours a hazy, golden-yellow with two fingers of quickly vanishing head.

S: Nice. Grapefruit, citrus, earthy pine, subtle resin.

T: Much sweeter than anticipated. Pineapple and very light tropical flavors, citrus, tangerine perhaps.

M: Medium-bodied, the weakest part of the ale. A little more creaminess would propel this into a more rounded drinking experience.

O: Somewhere between above average and outstanding, The mouth-feel is my only gripe. Great entry into the spring/summer season. Another win for Founders.

  1. Dude, I Swear, If I Were Physically Capable Of Having An Alcoholic Beverage, I’d TOTALLY Have To Go For One Of Your Fancy-Ass Beers.
