$12.99/Four Pack

Style: Spiced/Herbed Beer

9% ABV

This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old drinking vessels from the tomb of King Midas. Somewhere between wine and mead, Midas will please the chardonnay and beer drinker alike.

Serve at 45-50 Degrees

Enjoyed from a pint glass

A: Pours a golden transparent color like apple juice. Minimal lacing with lots of bubbles.

S: Strong aroma of grapes, subtle white wine and faint biscuity notes – not a lot going on here.

T: Grape, honey, earthy herbs, alcohol is present in the finish. Refreshing, but underwhelming.

M: Highly carbonated. I’m not a fan of the big bubbles, but this works in the big picture. Very crisp.

O: DFH takes big risks with a lot of these bombers and they occasionally pay off. Midas Touch doesn’t rank amongst their finer offerings, but it’s an interesting brew nonetheless.

I Went Out-N-About One Night To A Social Gathering At A Local Drinkin’ Establishment.
A Seemingly Nice Guy Came Up To Me And Said…
“If You Could Have ANYTHING In This Place, What Would You Wish For OR Want?”
        I Said…
“So I’m Wishing, Eh? Then I’d Want One Of Those HUGE Long-Islands! That Would Be Kinda Cool! It’s Been A Long LONG Time.”
About 10 Minutes Later, The Guy Returned, And Was Toting About TWO Large Long-Islands. Those Things Were Like $7 APIECE!
He Said, “Wish No More, Good Sir!” Then Tried To Hand One To Me.
I Simply Shook My Head And Replied…
“Dude, I Haven’t Had A Drink Of Booze Since 2009! I Thought We Were Doing Some Wishful Thinking?”
        He Honestly Appeared CRUSHED…
…Until He Saw Someone Else Without A Drink, And Then THOSE TWO WENT HOME TOGETHER!
I Was Crushed For About 30-Seconds…
…Then Realized I Knew No-One There, And I Went Home.
        😉
THERE. That’s My Cute Sunday Confession hehehehe

      • LOL Brad, you are hilarious. My favorite January release, a double IPA from Bell’s, called Hopslam, is $17.99 a sixer…and I bought two and a half cases of it. It’s a looooong time until January again.
