Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Style Ale Beer Review (2010)

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com

$10/Six Pack

Style/ABV: American Barleywine

Serve at 50-55 Degrees F

Enjoyed from a snifter

A: Deep amber with the slightest amount of sediment. Two fingers of fluffy white foam. Laces like a spider web.

S: Pine, toffee, plum, lingering hops.

T: YES! Caramel, pine, raisins, dried fruits, citrus; huge blast of malty bitterness. Thank you, God.

M: Medium-heavy body, smooth and creamy – really wakes up your tongue. Very resinous and it lasts a loooong time.

O: Absolutely one of the best barleywines on the market. I never get tired of it. That big and sugary malt profile is unmistakable. SN keeps making this complex winner year after year. You really have no excuse to call yourself a beer drinker and not try this one.
