Summer’s most self-indulgent horror show returns this Sunday at 9pm only on HBO. Tune in with a few glasses of wine and it will be some Shakespearean shit. True Blood Ep. 1 Who Are You, Really? The Latest on ‘American Horror Story: Coven’

May 19, 2013 by Fister Roboto

I missed some cool horror news while I was sitting on my ass all last week. American Horror Story fans are an excitable bunch. We’re nowhere near the October debut, and the online pining is in full-effect. Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter that two very talented actresses have joined the season three cast. Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone are the newest additions since the announcement of Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates. Also returning are series favorites: Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, […]

‘American Horror Story: Coven’ Dishes the First Witch?

April 29, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Returning for the third season, American Horror Story dropped this casting bomb on the unsuspecting public today. We already know that Kathy Bates is taking the top honor of portraying Lange’s former bff, but who’s this newest Cajun centerpiece? Please welcome…Gabourey Sidibe. Lips are sealed on just whom or…what she’ll be, but Ryan Murphy had this to Tweet: “Thrilled to announce Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of ‘American Horror Story: Coven,’”. Hell yes. Also returning this October […]

Bates Motel S1E6 ‘The Truth’ Review

April 23, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Bates Motel is in full mid-season swing, kids. How many seasons can they keep this up until it’s time for an adult version of Norman Bates to cheerfully greet hotel guests is anyone’s guess. Last night’s episode ‘The Truth’ was a telling title. As I mentioned before, I’m not writing these Bates Motel recaps, giving you a play by-play, but rather reviewing the performances and story arcs in a generic fashion – hoping you’ll feel inclined to watch. Manipulation. Norman […]

Dexter Season 8 Teaser Focuses on Being a Cereal Killer

April 22, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Someone warn General Mills – a loon is on the loose. The best thing about this teaser? It clearly states “THE LAST SEASON”. Do me a favor and give this once glorious show the death penalty already. In this…gripping…clip, Deb and Dex talk life in the cereal isle. The other teaser is just Dexter doing, you know, Dexter stuff. This season of Dexter is so anxious to end that it even starts early. The last season begins on 6/30 only […]

DEXTER (Season 6)

Here’s Some Weak Footage from ‘Dexter’ Season 8 – Hooray

April 14, 2013 by Fister Roboto

It still feels weird to start a Dexter article with feelings of anger and frustration, but Showtime forced my hand. The once amazing series has taken on bloody water since season five. I know it has to be hard to top Lithgow as The Trinity Killer and all, but the last three seasons have taken our dark hero away from his code and basic character structure. Ugh, anyway, Dexter still has this whole Deb thing to wrap up, so I’m […]

‘Dexter’ Might Suck, but at Least Yvonne Strahovski is Returning

April 11, 2013 by Fister Roboto

It’s official that Dexter, in fact, does suck at the moment. No one at Showtime seems willing to confirm if season 8 is the end or not, so at least here’s some good news. I loved her as Hannah. “The actress is set to reprise her role in a multi-episode arc this summer as Hannah McKay, the gorgeous killer florist. Last season, the Hannah became Dexter’s twisted love interest and a major thorn in his side. When we last saw […]

New ‘Dexter’ Promo Promises a Lame Season 8

April 8, 2013 by Fister Roboto

I’m not sure what happened to the once brilliant Dexter, but last season was just another reminder that the show is a ghost of its former self. I’ve grown so tired of Dexter’s wordy, soul-searching inner-dialogue. Season four is obviously the crown jewel of the series and there’s no way to top that – still, these last few seasons have sucked. Showtime needs to wrap up this cash grab with a semblance of clarity and justice…both key elements missing from […]

Robert Kirkman Gives us Season 4 Insight into ‘The Walking Dead’

April 3, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Creator, Robert Kirkman sat down and talked with IGN recently. The topics included The Governor breaking his one season commitment and becoming a series regular. Fans of the comic know Phillip didn’t stay alive long enough to become a regular. I assume the guy was so great at portraying the one-eyed nut job that he was asked back. I love his character, so bring it on. On the deaths in the Season 3 finale, “ It’s really hard for the […]

FX to Deliver Official Halloween Event for ‘American Horror Story: Coven’

March 28, 2013 by Fister Roboto

(fan made poster) FX promises fans a Halloween event on par with the first two seasons, debuting on Halloween of course. This isn’t really news unless you obsess over this show like myself. The big news was the announcement of Kathy Bates going one-on-one with Lange in the arch-enemy department. Returning this season are Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters in the witch-friendly (not so friendly?) city of New Orleans. Any early predictions, speculations, or […]

March 22, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Debuting solely on Netflix on 4/19, comes Eli Roth’s 13 episode horror series, Hemlock Grove. I’m excited for it and it’s a glorious time to sit back and blow through all 13 episodes on the gaming console of your choice. “Hemlock Grove is a riveting one-hour murder mystery that revolves around the residents of a former Pennsylvania steel town. When 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell is brutally murdered, any of Hemlock’s peculiar inhabitants – or killer creatures – could be suspects. Through […]

March 16, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Ladies and gentlemen, start your orgasmic day dreaming now. Mr. Ryan Murphy dropped this bombshell last night at Paleyfest, which is just a plateau for juicy info these days. We know that returning superstars Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Taissa Farmiga start shooting this summer in NOLA, but nothing has surfaced about the era as of yet. The season is rumored to be very female-centric with the generously talented Bates portraying Lange’s […]

TVLine Exclusive: American Horror Story Season 3 to Feature Kathy Bates Against Jessica Lange

February 27, 2013 by Fister Roboto

If American Horror Story succeeds in any way – it’s in the casting. TVline is reporting that Oscar Winner, Kathy Bates is on deck to be Jessica Lange’s new nemesis. Bates will portray Lange’s former best friend who turns against her. Details are loose, but Murphy reports Lange will play a  “glamour cat leading lady,”. A nice change from her gloomy Sister Jude look. Hyperventilating started.

New Cryptic Season 3 ‘Game of Thrones’ Trailer is Cryptic

The Walking Dead S3E7 Sneak Peek ‘When the Dead Come Knocking’

November 19, 2012 by Fister Roboto

Fresh on the heels of last night’s illuminating episode, ‘Hounded‘, comes the new promo and some behind the scenes footage. Rooker could make a Kit Kat commercial creepy. Seriously. “When the Dead Come Knocking.” In the episode, the governor seeks information; a new guest at the prison forces Rick’s hand. “In the highly anticipated new season, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater […]

1984′s ‘Satanic Toaster’ is Back in the News

November 18, 2012 by Fister Roboto

This was awesome back in the day, but I’d honestly forgotten about it. I remember seeing Dave Letterman make fun of it all those years ago. This was featured on The Soup! earlier this week and I just couldn’t pass it up. Dexter Episode S7E8 “Argentina” – MORE Yvonne Strahovski in Three New Clips

November 13, 2012 by Fister Roboto

Dexter is keeping me satisfied this season. I’ve loved this show from the first addictive episode. While I’m not a big fan of season five or six, they have had their moments since. The inclusion of the talented and beautiful, Yvonne Strahovski, has shaken this current season up. Mysterious and gorgeous, she’s keeping me guessing this season. Enjoy the clips for the 11/18 episode titled “Argentina”. Next Sunday’s official promo.
