Superhero movies are a slippery slope, and it’s safe to assume we’ve all been disappointed too many times. With that said, will this be the Superman movie we’ve all been waiting for? Packed with action, a darker, brooding, Supes, Zod, and even freaking heat vision, this might be the one. Man of Steel debuts next Friday, 6/14.

Jennifer Lawrence Blue Herself in ‘Arrested Development’ Anticipation

May 21, 2013 by Fister Roboto

It’s true. It’s not. She is in the middle of filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, the latest Marvel offering from director, Bryan Singer. Is it creepy that I find her shape-shifting alter ego this hot? Jennifer has turned into such a geeky media darling, I don’t think it would matter what she was doing. What a terrible job btw. What do you do? Oh, me? I keep Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique makeup perfectly swabbed to her muff. Cool. Probably a […]

Official ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Trailer is Officially Boring

April 24, 2013 by Fister Roboto

I’ve run a little slow this week, so I’m just get around to checking out some of the latest trailers. Some have been great, but this new Thor trailer is completely underwhelming. Completely. Thor battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers. Even the synopsis is boring. I suppose we’ll find out in November.

April 16, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Every once in a while you pick up a trade of a series you skipped or missed out on. Inevitably, the trade in question is mind-blowing and you kick yourself for not catching it an issue at a time. Robert Kirkman Gives us Season 4 Insight into ‘The Walking Dead’

April 3, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Creator, Robert Kirkman sat down and talked with IGN recently. The topics included The Governor breaking his one season commitment and becoming a series regular. Fans of the comic know Phillip didn’t stay alive long enough to become a regular. I assume the guy was so great at portraying the one-eyed nut job that he was asked back. I love his character, so bring it on. On the deaths in the Season 3 finale, “ It’s really hard for the […]

‘The Wolverine’ International Trailer has the Silver F*cking Samurai in it!

This looks 1000 times better than the first film and I’ve seen less than three minutes of it. Touting Marvel players like Jean Grey, Viper, Mariko Yashida, and, yes: the Silver Fucking Samurai, that’s a lot of ass kicking for a guy without his healing factor. Looks great so far, but we’re a believe-it-when-I-see-it crowd when it comes to comic book movies. We’ll see on 7/26. ‘Five Ghosts – The Haunting of Fabian Gray’ Comic Book Review

March 24, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Written by Frank J. Barbiere Art by Chris Mooneyham Brilliant. This title brings an old school pulp adventure feel to the modern age of comics – and in spades. The set up is simple, but has a rich history to flesh out. Fabian Gray is an adventurer type – a treasure hunter specifically. A tragic encounter with an artifact called The Dreamstone left Fabian possessed by five literary ghosts: The Wizard, The Archer, The Detective, The Samurai, and The Vampire. […]

The 2013 Lexington Comic & Toy Con

March 17, 2013 by Fister Roboto

The Second Annual Lexington Comic & Toy Con took place this weekend, and it was a glorious event. Less Power Ranger-heavy and with cooler guests, this year’s show was a total success. Kudos to everyone behind the scenes that put this together. February 2, 2013 by Fister Roboto

I’m more of a Puppy Bowl guy, but you should know there’s a new promo trailer for Iron Man 3 debuting during the Super Bowl tomorrow. Things look dark for Stark in yet another brooding poster. All signs point to IM3 being The Empire Strikes Back of the franchise. The film releases on May 3, 2013. January 22, 2013 by Fister Roboto

Directed by Jay Olivia Written by Bob Goodman Adapted from the original story by Frank Miller Frank Miller reinvigorated Batman with his epic 1986 graphic novel, The Dark Knight Returns.
