Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com

Brewed by Great Divide Brewing Company

$9.99/Bomber

Style: Russian Imperial Stout

9.50% ABV

Serve at 50-55

Enjoyed from a tulip glass

A: “None more black..” as Spinal Tap would say. Thick, opaque with a finger of rich chocolate head. Nice lacing.

S: Sweet chocolate, burnt malts, caramel, piney hops. toffee, with no alcohol at all. I love the hop delivery for a RIS.

T: Chocolatey sweet up front that progresses to a huge roasty malt flavor with a generous amount of resiny hops. There’s a noticeable vanilla finish involved.

M: Medium-bodied with a very creamy, nearly chewy texture. There is very little carbonation to interfere with the overall mouthfeel.

O: This brew is a monster, and a very subtle and balanced one at that. I’m a fan of their regular Yeti, so I was anxious to try this. They’ve created a very unique stout and I would suggest getting some while you can.
