Starring: Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan, and Tom Felton
A couple is haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment.
This movie is such a waste that I don’t where to start. It might as well claim “Produced by Nickelback“. If this movie was a jigsaw puzzle, one would think a coked up professional wrestler with a hook for a hand put it together. Marketing claims another victory with the all-powerful creepy trailer/creepy ads/hot actress knockout punch.
The Apparition is a gross failure. Terrible story, terrible acting, and terrible pacing doomed this from the word go. Greene and Stan share no chemistry whatsoever. The film’s half assed attempt to show us the couple’s background is paper-thin. I knew within the first five minutes that I was going to hate it. I can’t accurately describe how badly the acting is – I think you have to go back to The Devil Inside to find a suitable match for 2012. Save yourself some time and money – avoid this like the plague. Don’t rent the DVD, you’re just encouraging them. If a nonsensical horror film about an aggressive form of black mold from another dimension is your kind of story – you won’t be disappointed. Not even Ashley Greene’s hotness made this even remotely entertaining.
