Brewed by Dog Fish Head Craft Brewery
An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means “holy tree,” and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

A: Dark and thick with a finger of mocha head. You would think you’re pouring a RIS based solely on its appearance. Sticky lacing.
S: Very oaky and earthy, robust grains, spices, toffee, vanilla and molasses sit on top a deep alcohol aroma. Awesome.
T: An instantly blend of oak and cedar up front. Roasted nuts, molasses, dark fruit, very roasty with a little vanilla. It just keeps going – finishes with bitter hops and a very noticeable and pleasant alcohol burn. Out of this world.
M: Heavy bodied with a rich, creamy texture. Very crisp and oily on the tongue.
O: A 12% brown ale aged in exotic wood casks: everything about this screams awesome.
