Enjoyed from a tulip glass
A: Pours a clear golden color with a finger of sticky lacing,
S: Belgian from opening gates. Pepper, honey, orange peel, sour fruits, piney hops in the back-end.
T: Bubblegum and banana followed by the trademark Belgian sours set in. The finish is mildly hoppy with an earthy yeast lurking in the background. Not the hop bomb I anticipated.
M: Dry and heavily carbonated, almost like a saison. Not very substantial.
O: This wasn’t what I was expecting, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a solid entry. I’m sure lovers of this style will consider it a hit. I appreciate the Belgian influence, but the American hop bombs are the only way to go.
