Thank God. Fox announced the beloved sci-fi masterpiece will air a fifth and final season composed of 13 episodes. Fringe has racked up 87 episodes already, the final 13 will take the episode count to 100, the point where serious syndication can occur.

Fringe debuted four seasons ago and generally put fans on their collective ass. First debuting on Tuesday nights, the show eventually suffered some lower rating and was moved to Friday. If you’re a fan of Friday night shows on Fox, you know what happens there; nothing good. Luckily, fans will get their last season and a sense of closure for this amazing show.
