Seven Below (2012) Why Val Kilmer… Why?

April 30, 2012 by SIster Roboto

Article by SisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com Directed By: Kevin Carraway A group of strangers find themselves stranded after a tour bus accident, and must ride out a foreboding storm in a house where brutal murders occurred 100 years earlier. Generally, if a movie is this appalling, I don’t even bother wasting energy writing about how terrible it is. In this case, I feel it my obligation to warn you of this horrible Val Kilmer/Ving Rhames film.  This truly has to be […]

The Raven (2012) Movie Review

April 28, 2012 by Fister Roboto

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com Directed by James McTeigue Written by Ben Livingston & Hannah Shakespeare Starring: John Cusack, Alice Eve and Luke Evans When a madman begins committing horrific murders inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s works, a young Baltimore detective joins forces with Poe to stop him from making his stories a reality. What a perfectly mediocre film. Given the genius of Poe’s writing, The Raven sure feels wholly uninspired. While Cusack delivers a solid performance, it’s still not […]

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com The mid-nineties rocked. Literally. I was in a little band out of Champaign, Illinois, called Vertigorising. We tore a lot of shit up. Sorry for the super crappy 8th generation videotape transfer. There was a time when every event couldn’t be instantly recorded with phones or streamed live from space age Trapper Keepers. Fringe has racked up 87 episodes already, the final 13 will take the episode count to 100, the point where serious syndication can occur. Fringe debuted four seasons ago and generally put fans on their collective ass. First debuting on Tuesday nights, the show eventually suffered some lower rating and was moved to Friday. Hard Candy (2005) Movie Review

April 27, 2012 by SIster Roboto

Article by SisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com Director: David Slade (30 Days of Night) A mature 14-year old girl meets a charming 32-year old photographer on the Internet. Suspecting that he is a pedophile, she goes to his home in an attempt to expose him. More like Psychotic Candy!  This movie starts with an awkward story line (possible pedophile meets the jail-bait of his dreams) that quickly becomes downright insane!  I had heard stories about his movie before watching it, but Hard […]

Fister’s Devil Music of the Day: Pink Floyd “Sheep”

April 26, 2012 by Fister Roboto

Article by FisterRoboto of lefthandhorror.com Animals is my favorite Pink Floyd album by far. I don’t hear this aggressive version of the band in any of their other albums. The band chugs in at 7:09, erupting into a bass heavy riff that almost defies logic. As much as I love the big Floyd records like The Wall and Wish You Were Here, Animals just has a magic quality all its own. Enjoy.
