Song of the Day 11.15.11: Mastodon “Dry Bone Valley”

Mastodon continue their dominance of progressive metal on their 2011 album “The Hunter”. This is currently hands down for my album of the year. Dry Bone Valley is nearly the perfect metal song. Trippy guitars and a fine use of all three distinctly different vocalists make this an epic metal entry. Enjoy. PS, I hope you’re not blowing this off because it’s metal. Mastodon have as much finesse as a classically trained pianist at times.
